Account & Profile
Personal account settings live at /settings and apply across every workspace you belong to. Workspace-level settings (members, billing, integrations) live under each workspace.
What’s Personal vs. Workspace
| Setting | Scope | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Name, username, avatar, phone | Personal | Settings → Profile |
| Password, MFA, sessions, connected accounts | Personal | Settings → Security |
| EMA preferences (tone, summary cadence) | Personal | Settings → EMA |
| Personal storage usage | Personal | Settings → Storage |
| Members, roles, invites | Workspace | Settings → Members |
| Plan, payment method, invoices | Workspace | Settings → Billing |
| Workspace usage and quotas | Workspace | Settings → Usage |
Changing your name in Profile updates it everywhere you appear — comment authorship, agent run history, EMA reports — across every workspace.
Profile
At Settings → Profile you can update:
- Profile picture — upload an image or fall back to your initials. Stored via Cloudflare Images.
- Personal info — full name, username, email, phone number.
- Account info — read-only summary showing your account creation date and last sign-in.
Your email is also your login identifier. Changing it requires verifying the new address before the change takes effect.
Security
Settings → Security opens Clerk’s user profile widget for security-sensitive actions:
- Password — change it, or set one if you originally signed up via a social provider.
- Two-factor authentication — enable an authenticator app, SMS, or backup codes.
- Passkeys — register a device passkey for faster, phishing-resistant sign-in.
- Connected accounts — link or unlink Google, GitHub, and other providers you can use to sign in.
- Active devices — see every browser and device with an active session; revoke any that look unfamiliar.
Enable two-factor authentication if your workspace handles sensitive data. MFA applies the next time you sign in — existing sessions aren’t kicked out.
EMA Preferences
Settings → EMA controls how the EMA project manager talks to you personally:
- Tone — concise, friendly, formal.
- Summary cadence — daily, weekly, or off.
- Notification channels — in-app, email, or connected integrations (Slack, etc.).
These are per-user, not per-workspace — EMA uses the same preferences when reporting on any workspace you belong to.
Connecting Personal Integrations
Some integrations (calendar, email reading) are tied to your personal identity rather than the workspace. Connect those from Settings → Integrations. Workspace-wide integrations (Slack channels, GitHub repos) belong in the workspace’s Integrations tab instead.
See Integrations → Composio for the full integration catalog.
Deleting Your Account
Account deletion removes your Clerk identity and signs you out of every device. It does not delete the workspaces you own — transfer ownership to another Owner first (or delete the workspace from Settings → Members) if you want it gone too.
Open Settings → Security, scroll to the bottom, and click Delete account. The action requires re-authentication and is irreversible.
