TulskTulsk

Work should compound.

Every task your team finishes should make the next one easier. Tulsk is built on one old idea from the Book of Changes, and six principles that follow from it.

One word, three meanings

In Zheng Xuan's classic reading of the Book of Changes (易经), the word 易 means three things at once. Together they describe how Tulsk is built.

  • 变易

    Things change

Models and agents come and go, and a new one arrives every week. Tulsk is not tied to any one of them, so your company is not either.

  • 易简

    The way stays simple

You say the outcome you want. Choosing the model, gathering the context and running the work is Tulsk's job, not yours.

  • 不易

    Something endures

What lasts is your company's own knowledge: its context, its decisions, the methods that worked and the lines no one should cross.

Six principles

Each principle carries one line from the Dao De Jing, Zhuangzi or the I Ching, and one thing Tulsk does because of it.

  1. 01

    Intent over configuration

Ask for the outcome, not the plumbing. Strong defaults beat setup screens.

    得鱼忘荃

The trap exists for the fish. Once you have the fish, forget the trap.

    Zhuangzi, chapter 26

In Tulsk: Say what you need in Workspace Chat. It creates the task, sets up the agent or schedules the recurring report.

  2. 02

    Company over agent

Knowledge belongs to the workspace, not to one model, one chat or one tool.

    三十辐共一毂

    Thirty spokes share one hub.

    Dao De Jing, chapter 11

In Tulsk: Memory, Skills and files live in the workspace, shared by your team and every agent, and external AI tools reach them through Tulsk's built-in MCP server.

  3. 03

    Every run compounds

Work should leave something behind: an output, better context or a method worth reusing.

    庖丁解牛

Cook Ding's knife stayed sharp for nineteen years because he cut along the grain.

    Zhuangzi, chapter 3

In Tulsk: Runs leave their output in the task and the workspace computer, and a Skill turns a method that worked into one every agent can follow.

  4. 04

    Autonomy is earned

Authority follows proven reliability, and every boundary stays explicit.

    鸿渐于干

The wild goose advances step by step.

    I Ching, hexagram 53

In Tulsk: Agents use only the tools and connections you grant them, and actions that need approval wait for a person.

  5. 05

    Evidence over activity

Judge work by what was done, what it cost and whether it worked, not by how busy it looked.

    信言不美,美言不信

True words are not pretty. Pretty words are not true.

    Dao De Jing, chapter 81

In Tulsk: Every agent keeps its run history, and all work is metered in dollars against one workspace budget, not by seats or runs.

  6. 06

    Complexity belongs to Tulsk

Show what matters: who is on it, what changed and whether it worked. Keep the machinery out of the way.

    太上,不知有之

The best leaders are barely noticed. When the work is done, the people say: we did it ourselves.

    Dao De Jing, chapter 17

In Tulsk: Every workspace comes with a computer, and every model sits behind the same chat. Use Tulsk's default model or bring your own key.

How Tulsk differs

Most agent products give one person a smarter assistant, tied to one vendor's model. Tulsk gives a company a memory and rules that outlast any agent.

  • Built for a company

Projects, tasks, named agents and shared memory belong to the workspace, so knowledge stays when a person or a tool leaves.

  • Not tied to one model

Pick the model for the job or bring your own key. Switching loses nothing.

  • Boundaries that hold

Per-agent grants and approvals are enforced by Tulsk, not left to a prompt.

  • One budget, no seats

Agent work, chat and the workspace computer draw on one budget, metered in dollars.
